Experience Not Required

By Ashley P.

In today’s world it is essential to have 5+ years experience along with a high level of education to obtain a great job. However, when I graduated [like most] I did not have that. I only had minor customer service and sales experience. Blinds To Go turned my “poor” background into something positive and into something they wanted to help me build upon.

I started as a timid individual afraid to approach co-workers with feedback and customers with options. But after talking to my Sales and Development Manager, who I looked up to as a mentor, and my fellow Design Consultants I realized that in order to obtain my goals I could no longer be shy. Now having spent an intense year and five months with BTG, I am proud to say that I have built on characteristics I did not know I had. I am more direct, confident, and definitley alot more focused on goals that I want to achieve and I owe it all to the individuals in my district for being honest with me as well as the Vice President of the company, who holds nothing back.

Although I have made vast improvements I am so very far from being finished. I look forward and welcome future challenges that come my way as I try to climb the corporate ladder here at Blinds To Go.
